[W.I.P.] Cima Y31: Work is going on

Retrofitted side mirrors. I did it for more realistic look because stock mirrors mounts have been wider than they should.
And now it has two separate parts.

I don't know what's wrong with kit rear suspension (likely due to negative offset of aftermarket wheels). I couldn't to fitting flush the rear wheels in arches with not too big camber angle. So i had to shortened axles mounts and pulled rear fenders, what i did. At the same time i pulled the front fenders.

I took off rear badge, windshield washers and door handles.

Retrofitted rear bumper for rear fog light and enlarged cutout for new muffler tips.

Headlights and taillights reflectors.

[W.I.P.] Cima Y31: On the workbench

It will get classic japanese VIP styling. You know, the days before oni-kyan, radiused fenders and all the crazy body work, but not with less aggressive look. There is no sense to totally retrofitting this kit.

I had to cut stock molded bumpers off, otherwise it might be round-faced bumper. This is not so easy for beginners, but Aoshima doing right reproducing aero kits realistic.

Impul aero kit is ready for installation

And first trouble i've met. When i fitted right side step (left side is more or less ok)
panel lines don't match in the front and in the middle and side steps looks too thick.

I smoothed out the doors

Places for side directional headlights. I took this parts from the stock bumper and put it on Impul.

New chrome deep dish lips for Futuras. At the first i removed stock molded lips.

At the end i added air valves and OZ caps.
