[W.I.P.] Lexus 2GS: Chassis

Body work almost done, now is time for chassis.
Being low is the most important aspect in the modding of your luxury sedan. The lower the better. If you are on air suspension, the goal should be to park on the ground or as close to it with the ride height being flush. On this car, I like the tucked look better but flush is always sick.
So, tucked rear and flush to the front fenders - that's what i want to do.

Kit includes stock and lowered steering knuckles and arms. I took the lowered ones, cut them off and changed wheel hubs to stock. I did it for stock brake discs, because stock and tuning brake discs has a different mounting to hubs. At the same time i increased angle for more camber.

Also i added spacers for front upper control arms and made a custom front lower control arms for shortened and angled steering knuckles.

I did the same in the rear suspension. Besides i shortened underframe (red line - stock height)

That's what i got

[W.I.P.] Cima Y31: On the workbench

It will get classic japanese VIP styling. You know, the days before oni-kyan, radiused fenders and all the crazy body work, but not with less aggressive look. There is no sense to totally retrofitting this kit.

I had to cut stock molded bumpers off, otherwise it might be round-faced bumper. This is not so easy for beginners, but Aoshima doing right reproducing aero kits realistic.

Impul aero kit is ready for installation

And first trouble i've met. When i fitted right side step (left side is more or less ok)
panel lines don't match in the front and in the middle and side steps looks too thick.

I smoothed out the doors

Places for side directional headlights. I took this parts from the stock bumper and put it on Impul.

New chrome deep dish lips for Futuras. At the first i removed stock molded lips.

At the end i added air valves and OZ caps.
