[Finished] Celsior K-Break Platinum: Photoset

I think a lot of people have the misconception that the VIP-style is just taking a sedan, dropping it on the ground, putting some deep-dish wheels on, and adding a body kit. While some of the cars don’t look like they have much done, it couldn’t be further from the truth. The body kits, if not complete custom one-offs, are all modified extensively, custom lighting solutions, the amount of suspension work is staggering, the builds are way more than what can be seen. This Celsior is no different. The work is done to a level that looks so simple, but the work done to this car really pushes the envelope when it comes to VIP.

I’ll start with the exterior of the car as that’s where the tough appearance is centered around. The front bumper, side-skirts, and rear bumper are K-Break Platinum Type V that have all been worked over to give it the K-Break touch, but the custom touches were largely due to the fender work. The fender work is definitely something you can’t ignore, radiused, flared, and sculpted to perfection. Another exterior highlight is the carbon roof and trunk spoiler which is a nice touch that compliments the blue pearl paint, and the black details of the grille, wheels, and lights.


The last feature i wrote, i talked about the custom lighting that has been popular in the VIP culture lately, and this car features a few custom lighting touches as well. The headlights have been customized with custom scratch built projectors, matte black paint, and LED signal lights. Out back are custom, smoked tail lights. The exterior of the Celsior has that balance of elegance and aggressiveness. With the subtle paint and classy bodywork, the monstrous fenders lead you on to believe that there is something special yet to be found in this car.


The one more feature of this car is definitely the stance. The way the car looks sitting still, or rolling down the highway with the wheels tilted in just really does it for me. Not only does this Celsior rock some healthy negative camber, but the car is too close to the ground. This car is sitting on a set of T-Demand coilovers which seem to be the popular choice for those in the VIP culture that like to roll ridiculously low static. 


To keep with the car’s aggressive nature, i'm looked to SSR wheels for a solution. The SSR Professor SP1 is a classic wheel that definitely combines both elegance and toughness with it’s multi-piece, deep-dish, 5-spoke design. With the centers finished in matte black to match the grille and lights, I couldn’t think of a more fitting wheel for the car. Sitting behind the SSR wheels is an Endless 6-pistons calipers and big photoetched T-Demand brakes which fill out the wheels nicely. It’s always nice to see some big-brakes behind a big set of wheels. All part of that balance.

[W.I.P.] Toyota Century: Suspension and wheels

Completed undercarriage and suspension.


And i changed my perspective on the wheels to body color. Now they are mostly black with the chrome details.
Also i modified the tires. I took normal 19's Aoshima tires (not Kiwami) and increased inside diameter. Now the profile of tires lower, not so thick as stock and not so thin as 'kiwami'.
